Coffee Creamer Recipe

Our coffee creamer jar

This one’s pretty simple, but it’s also a staple in our camper. We really like the Chobani coffee creamer, but it’s really expensive, and we go through it really fast, so I decided it was time to make our own. I started making it in Hawaii when we had limited access to going to the grocery store, and decided it would be best to make it in the camper as well.

So, while this one isn’t hard to make and may seem intuitive to me, it might not be to others. This recipe is very versatile, being delicious in our morning coffee, with earl grey tea, or a splash in hot chocolate made with water. It tastes like ice cream not mixed into anything (which is how I know I got it right), and it saves us a lot of money!

You can make it in any vessel you want. Ours is currently in an old pasta sauce jar. It was one of the few things I could find that fit in our little fridge’s door, but you can choose whatever you want. This recipe fits perfectly into something that’s 24 ounces, but you can put it in something larger and maybe even make more!

Recipe:

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 3 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/2 cup hot water

  • 2 cups half and half

Directions:

  • Mix sugar and vanilla into the hot water until sugar is fully dissolved.

  • Add half and half and sugar mixture into vessel and mix well.

That’s all! It only takes a few minutes, and saves a lot of money so I would definitely say it’s worth it!
